DIY Digital Systems Workshop Series

A Practical Infrastructure Series for Folk & Heritage Artists

Own your audience. Organize your outreach. Get paid online.

  • If social media disappeared tomorrow, could you still reach your audience?
  • If a presenter emailed you today, could you track and follow up professionally?
  • If you wanted to host your own ticketed concert next month, could you build and price it confidently?
  • If an audience member wanted to support your work, could you offer a one-click payment link without apology?

DIY Digital is a four-part workshop series designed to help heritage artists build simple, sustainable digital systems — without becoming tech experts.

Who This is For

DIY Digital is for:

  • Solo singer–storytellers ready to define audience, outreach, and digital systems
  • Instrumentalists and trad players stepping into leadership or collective identity
  • Newly forming bands and small ensembles seeking clarity around roles, audience focus, and sustainable practice
  • Artists with repertoire and performance experience who want systems that support consistent engagement, bookings, and audience growth
  • Artists who want to translate festival visibility into year-round opportunities

Solo artists, duos, trios, and small ensembles are all welcome — and ensemble rates apply when 2–3 members from the same group enroll together.

You do not need advanced tech skills.

You need clarity and structure.

What Clients Say

Artists

I was despairing over how to reach my audience when the pandemic began. Lynn immediately saw the opportunity that presented itself and I have to commend her for that. The Mermaid’s Tavern hosted my first online concert and it was a lot of fun. But more importantly, it gave me some hope about how to adapt during the crisis.

Organizations

“When the Folk Song Society of Greater Boston was forced to cancel an in-person house concert, Lynn Noel and Digital Heritage Consulting came to the rescue. In just a few days, Lynn created a virtual house concert experience. It was the performer’s first time doing a virtual concert – it was FSSGB’s first time hosting a house concert – so much could go wrong!

But Lynn nimbly guided all of us through communication and technology challenges, with the result that four times as many people were able to enjoy the concert. It was such a success that a month later, FSSGB called upon Lynn’s expertise once again to assist another performer to broadcast a virtual concert from his home, with the result that ten times as many people attended!

Lynn is a professional – with the level-headed clarity of a technician and the flexible creativity of a performer, she comprehends the virtual experience as a whole, which brings about a fulfilling experience for everyone – performer, host, and audience.”

-Lynn Feingold, President, Folk Song Society of Greater Boston
