A Warm and Welcoming Online Folk Club
This virtual folk club hosts house concerts, ballad sings, chantey sings, workshops, and special events to foster a sense of community during the pandemic and into the digital age. As an internationally recognized leader and organizer of folksong sessions, Lynn brings her warm and welcoming presence online to host the Live From the Mermaid’s Tavern series. Lynn also collaborates with folk societies to organize online events for music enthusiasts.

Creating and cultivating online community means showing up through the camera and the microphone with the same commitment, compassion, and consistency that makes successful community leaders in person and in real life. Through hundreds of events since March of 2020, the Mermaid’s Tavern has become a “real live community” with regular participants from every time zone in North America as well as the UK, Europe, and Australia.
